Well, we are slightly annoyed because this address is already quite famous. We wanted to source the best “yet to discover” cookie shop in NY for you… Not so easy because New York is combed every day by hundreds of journalists, bloggers, reporters, cookie lovers and tourists from around the world. So when stuff is good, the news spreads fast !

We have tasted. 37 different cookies. From 37 different addresses. Promise. From the most expensive to the cheapest. For a year. It is safe to say that not all the cookies we tasted were delicious or even edible. (aftertaste of clay, taste of stale cinnamon or worse yet, cardboard).

So we know what we are talking about.

Our # 1 cookie in NYC comes from Levain Bakery in Upper West side (or Harlem)

The chocolate chip walnut cookie is, in itself, a multisensory experience. (but you have to be really hungry because it’s huge)

And Today, we have tasted a 38th cookie, at Tom’s boutique on 264 Elizabeth Street. (here)

And our mind changed.

They were 3 of us. And we stopped talking when we tasted it : awesome. No other words.

(and a little lighter than Levain Bakery’s. Which is a good point.)

So try the “oat meal chocolate cookie” in Tom’s café. (inside the shoe shop)

And send us an email if you do not agree. Happy to discuss.

The other cookies we’ve loved :

BIRDBATH

45 Spring St (great before shopping in Soho) And if you come by bicycle, you have a 10% discount 😉
