The Cooper Hewitt Museum is a must

Often forgotten, the Cooper Hewitt Design Museum Smithsonian on the Upper East Side is a must.

Aside from its first class exhibits,The glass dome alone is worth the visit. The museum shop is topnotch and the coffee is very nice.

The Cooper Hewitt was completely redone in 2014/2015.  It is a museum dedicated to historical and contemporary design. Ideal for children because it offers surprising experiments in which they can really participate (a giant digital wallpaper creates stunning, live faces that are reproduced on the sand and disapear as soon as they are created).

What a gem!

Don’t miss it.
