Luis Da Cruz is a poem. He is a designer, creator, artist, full of ideas, full of plans… he “swarms”.
Last year, he burnt his mattress to recover the structure and turns it into a suspension with crystals.
You see the guy. When he offers you tea, he will know who you are depending on the cup of tea you’ll choose. He has a trapeze in his room as he is an acrobat.
He is not like a person we meet often.
Unless you make an appointment in his house-museum in Harlem. Three floors of pure creativity.
An experience by itself.
You may come away with a designer bag, a chair or a single model foreshore painted limited edition paper. In all cases, you will leave with a head full of memories.
