15 Oct Tons of books, and top stationary in a mythic bookstore
While we all agree that amazon has changed our lives, try not to buy their books online, and continue to buy books in places like this. Because we would like it never closes this legendary bookstore close to Union Square, the Strand. Its been here since 1927. There are tons of books. We could stay there for hours.
Very good selection of books on NY, guides of all kinds.
Very good advice of English books (for beginners too!).
And if you really do not like to read, buy at least the famous “tote bags” with catchy phrases. It will just make you want to read a book.
